What does Resilience mean to you?
There is a direct link between your health and wellness as an adult and the breadth of exposure to childhood emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, and household dysfunction that has only been researched and studied in the last 20 years. Traumatic experiences change how your brain is wired. Whole Wellness Counseling is all about helping you to build resiliency to live a meaningful life, on your terms.
What is it like to work with me?
I am a therapist, and I am very human. I have experienced trauma and adversity. I have struggled and failed, and I have mastered the art of getting back up. I have a deep faith in myself and in people. I believe that we are meant to come together to heal and that we need each other to heal. I am a straight talker and I know how to hold boundaries with love. I care deeply about the connection I have with each unique individual or family I see. I bring humor into our work and I rely on universal truths to inform my relationship with you, our higher power, and nature. We are all connected, all one, bound by love. Energy is neither created nor destroyed. The only thing we can rely on is that change is constant and the unknown is well, the unknown. I don’t know it all and I am learning and evolving too. I use the Socratic method to help you to discover your own inner truth. I want to understand you and you will know this when we meet. I will allow you to lead me where you would like to go. Call me for a 15 minute consultation and I will let you know if and how I can help.
